Job Purpose: Under the Direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support services to the patient, Radiology unit, and professional staff.
Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Education
High school Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
Healthcare Provider CPR certification required

Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff, patients and family members

Work Experience: No work experience required if currently enrolled a Imaging program.

Job Roles
RADIOLOGY TECH AIDE
Proficiency Level
Functions as an assistant to the professional technologist in that modality.
Conforms to safety standards dictated by regulatory agencies i.e. safety manuals, MSD sheets, OSHA issues.

Maintains clean work environment, adequate equipment and supplies: All Imaging Equipment is kept in good working condition; Related supplies are kept clean, and are at desired par levels.

Performs patient care activities delegated and supervised by the professional staff: Patient transport performed by (i.e. wheelchair, stretcher, or bed) utilizing appropriate safety techniques to prevent patient and self-injury;
Assists Technologist with room prep, stocking supplies, cleaning, and moving and transport of patients.

Respond effectively in emergencies and assists in prevention of patient injury: Initiates CPR when appropriate; Utilizes side rails and restraints to prevent patient injury; Reports to professional staff patients at increased risk for injury.
