Your Job:

Manage a team of employees, developing and motivating to accomplish the goals of Methodist Health System and the department. Responsible for achieving MHS’ annual goals for inventory turns, fill rates and accuracy. Serves as Supply Chain Operations project manager as the need arises to assess/integrate supply chain systems and operations for any new MHS affiliated facility. Responsible for perpetual inventory (Supply Location Dallas). Oversees file maintenance of all PMM Inventory Management database files. Performs data analysis and interprets data for continual improvement of services provided. Is actively involved in the planning and development of the integration of non-MHS databases into the MHS MMIS.

Extracts and analyzes data from the MMIS for the purpose of continual enhancement of services provided. Acts as liaison between Supply Chain Data System Administrator and supply locations at each hospital, communicating system problems and requirements. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of receiving, inventory and patient charge database. Responsible for ensuring that supply chain staff maintains the warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Serves as Manager, MDMC Supply Location when that manager is out for any reason, and assists in managing operations, including picking, bulk storage, unit storage, inventory control and distribution. Primary facilitator of warehouse to warehouse supply transfer.

Provides frontline management support to Transportation/Mailroom operations.

Plans, organizes and oversees the delivery and pick up services of Methodist Health System. Responsible for administering and directing programs and procedures for the Transportation and MDMC Mailroom departments. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of MHS delivery services. Responsible for ensuring the MDMC mailroom is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as liaison between MHS managers and Directors and bulk mail providers, communicating needs and requirements, working to arrange services in a cost effective manner. Acts as liaison between Methodist Health System managers and Directors and bulk mail providers, communicating needs and requirements, working to arrange services in a cost effective manner. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of MHS delivery services. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System.

Your Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in business or management.

• May substitute five years of supervisory experience in a related industry for Bachelor's degree.

• Certified Materials & Resource Professional (AHRMM) a plus

• 5 or more years healthcare experience in a computerized environment with knowledge of medical supplies.

• Thorough knowledge of inventory control methods and warehousing techniques.

• Strong leadership ability

• Able to work in a stressful environment during a crisis condition.

• Detail oriented and good with numbers.

• PC literate, familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and/or similar programs.

• Able to work effectively with departments in a collaborative manner.

• Is able to communicate in a professional manner in English with all levels of individuals both orally and in writing. Uses strong spelling and grammar skills.

• Uses good problem solving skills. Is proactive, not reactive, and able to analyze facts accurately, developing recommendations and takes appropriate actions to resolve or avoid issues that have proven to be problematic.

• Demonstrates good customer service skills. Is able to listen and understand customer needs and follows up to assure that both parties are mutually satisfied with the service provided.

• Demonstrates initiative, is a self starter. Is able to work independently, prioritizing and organizing workload effectively to complete tasks within the time frames delegated.

• Knowledgeable about and follows safety measures.

• Demonstrates adaptability and is able to flex schedule and perform other duties in the department as needed.

Your Job Responsibilities :

  • • Works in close cooperation with personnel in purchasing and other supply locations to maximize order efficiency and fill rate. Develops and consistently monitors minimum and maximum quantities for stock keeping units (SKU's) in Supply Location Dallas.• Manages, develops budget recommendations and explains budgetary variances. Manages operations within appropriate financial guidelines. Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new or replacement equipment.• Demonstrates Human Resources Management ability including activities such as interviewing, selection, orientation, evaluation, promotions, scheduling, STAFFssignments staff development and termination of departmental personnel within guidelines of corporate policies and regulatory agencies. Directs staff, prioritizing workload to provide prompt and efficient service that positively achieves department objectives.• Demonstrates communications skills including follow through that keeps all stakeholders up to date/informed and promotes teamwork, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction for all areas of responsibility. Acts a liaison between MHS Purchasing and Logistics. Keeps stakeholders apprised of issues and needs for the mutual benefit of both parties.• Collaborates with the Director, Supply Logistics, Director of Purchasing and Vice President of Finance to affect problem resolution or change in the department.• Maximizes the use of computerized inventory control systems, working with the hospital staff, the Manager, Inventory Control and Director, Supply Logistics. Manages physical inventories in the warehouse (annual turnover rate of 18). Assures inventory accuracy via cycle counts and minimizes loss due to product obsolescence or expiration. Demonstrates the ability to make good decisions in a timely manner. Works with Purchasing and vendors to expedite receipts of backordered product in a cost effective manner. Facilitates product evaluations as necessary.• Works with internal customer departments and external suppliers to enforce hospital Materiel Management policies.
